Beyoncé announces new album “Renaissance”

Beyoncé has revealed the title and release date for her next studio album, with the 16-track “Renaissance” set to drop July 29.

The superstar began listing the music and products on her website Thursday and several streaming services, including Tidal and Spotify, also announced the Beyoncé release.

Beyoncé tipped off fans that something important was coming when she removed her profile photos across all her social media platforms last week.

“Renaissance” would be the follow-up to 2016’s “Lemonade,” but the artist has been hard at work of late, featured on rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s remix of “Savage” and opening the 2022 Academy Awards with a performance of her song “Be Alive,” from the film «King Richard».

In 2019, she curated and produced the soundtrack album “The Lion King: The Gift,” for the remake of “The Lion King”. The song “Black Parade” from the soundtrack won a Grammy in 2021 for best R&B performance, Beyoncé's 28th Grammy.

Beyoncé’s new album RENAISSANCE is set for release on July 29, music streaming services including Spotify and Tidal announced early on Thursday, marking her first studio album release in six years that follows multiple teases on social media over the past few days.

The full name of the album appears to be RENAISSANCE – act i, a possible indication the new project may be released in multiple parts.

The official announcement was shared by the social media handles of all major music streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and YouTube Music—indicating that unlike her last album ‘Lemonade’ this will release on all platforms.

The new album will be Beyoncé's 7-th solo album.

Thursday’s announcement comes after several days of teases on social media which included the removal of Beyoncé’s display pictures from her Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube pages.

$450 million. That’s Beyoncé’s total net worth as of June 14 according to Forbes, which puts her 61st on the list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women.

Beyoncé’s last studio album Lemonade, released in 2016, was both a massive critical and commercial success. The album received nine Grammy nominations and ended up winning two awards for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video for the song “Formation.” Last year, Beyoncé became the most decorated female artist in Grammy history after receiving a record 28th award and tied with Quincy Jones.

Beyonce is planning secret pop-up shows in the UK to promote her next album

Beyonce is reportedly planning a series of pop-up shows around the UK

A select group of Beyonce fans will be able to see her up close and personal when she next visits the UK.

I can reveal the Halo singer is planning to wow people with secret pop-up shows here.

The superstar is gearing up to return with her seventh solo album, the first in six years.

Her team have been scouting out venues in the UK for her to perform special gigs to promote the new music.

A source said: “Beyonce’s new album is ready but this era will be like no other.

“She wrote most of the songs during the pandemic, when she was desperate to be with her fans and perform.

“This new record and campaign will be her most interactive one yet because she wants to reach out to the fans.

“It will focus on live experiences outside of touring, including intimate shows and pop-up performances.

“She is planning to spend a lot of time performing and promoting it in the UK, so there will be unique surprises in store for the British fans.

«People in her camp have scouted out venues for her to perform at when the music comes out and then there will be another huge tour later on.”

Beyonce’s last solo outing, The Formation World Tour in 2016, saw her play seven shows at stadiums in the UK and Ireland.

Then she returned in 2018 accompanied by her husband Jay-Z for their joint On The Run II Tour, featuring five more stadium concerts in England, Scotland and Wales.

Fans were sent into overdrive earlier this week when Beyonce removed her profile picture from all of her social media accounts, suggesting they will soon be replaced by new images to usher in her new music.

But there has been no other news, so she is keeping everyone in suspense.

In December, the CEO of her label Sony confirmed the album would be released in 2022.

With only six months left of the year, it can’t be too far away.

The insider added the album was mostly written during the COVID-19 pandemic during a time when Beyonce was „desperate“ to get back out on stage and perform for her fans.

Last year, Sony Records bosses suggested a new Beyonce record will be released in 2022 and she recently fuelled speculation about new music by removing her pictures from her social media accounts.

Many fans think removing the images means they will soon be replaced by new promo shots linked to the new album.

The record will be Beyonce's seventh solo album and follows her last release, 'Lemonade' in 2016. Her last big solo tour was 'The Formation World Tour' in 2016 while she hit the road again in 2018 to perform with her husband Jay Z on his 'On The Run II Tour'.
