For her new mellow tune Beyonce parted ways with Nava and enlisted a new director to capture the song's story of Beyoncé going through a break-up. In an interesting turn of events, Bey wasn't happy with the original cut which documented the break-up from start (finding her partner had cheated) to end (sadly soaking in the bath and eventually cutting her own hair off), and in a creative move decided the scenes should feature in reverse order.
